Fashionscape

NOTE:  This blog post explains the inspiration for this page, Fashionscape.

******

Fashionscape ~ This is where I give homage to our on-location photo shoot sites where hubby photographer and I troop around choosing spots and taking photographs of these hand knits, each spot specifically chosen to enhance the piece that was photographed.   It is this careful consideration of location that we feel brings these beautiful projects to life.  It allows displaying their wearability, their function, and most importantly (to me), their fashion-forward appeal in a most natural way.  I also believe this extra effort equally shows off confidence and attitude which is what I see when viewing fashion photographs in magazines, models on the runway, or anyone I’ve ever considered fashionable.

These are every day, everywhere locations that somehow hold meaning for one or both of us.  With each entry, there is a site photo and one photo of me in the project that was photographed there.  Some sites have multiple projects as truly, any ONE of these locations offers a plethora of inspiration for artists of all kinds.  As I continue with my knitting and the sharing process, I will update this page in the way I have begun.  Should work for me, and may serve as enjoyment for you.

NOTE:

  • These do not include all my projects, just those that were shot on location.
  • Our effort has been recognized as Union Jack sweater and Color block dress (as examples) can be found on the web as feature photos alongside the professional shots from Vogue Knitting.  Recognition here, as well in VK, Spring 2014.

    • I’ve been wanting to put this together for some time, but organizing this in knowing how to best suit my need, was tricky. And, to make it easy to continue. And, for the viewer to understand. Thank you for stopping by.
