What a kind message I received and what a motivation to get back to writing!
I have been struggling getting thought into words. This is the longest I have gone without a blog post since beginning my website some 5 – 6 years, ago. I don’t think it is necessarily that I am busier than I have ever been as I’m a girl who has always had a full plate. I don’t think it is all the extra tasks I’ve had to take on running a household as one. And, I have had knitting in my hands which typically inspires my writing. I think it is just that thing they call writer’s block. I’ll attempt getting back into blogosphere by sharing some recent goings-on. In no particular order:
An impromptu presentation at the Buffalo Knitting Guild with my projects made from remnant stash
Habitat for Humanity activities and purchase (to support the cause)
Habitat for Humanity celebrates its 300 house at in the city of Buffalo at 42 Wende St., as well as welcome the Hissu family to their brand new, four-bedroom home, Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018. New owner, Awal Hissu is on the front steps of his home. He’ll be moving in with his five-year-old daughter Sumyen Ominew, videotapes all those at the ceremony. He put in 450 hours of labor on other habitat houses and then 50 hours on his own. This is part of the agreement for habitat home owners. (Sharon Cantillon/Buffalo News)
I joined a running club
participated in activities with family
was shown fishing from boat side
took a trip or two to NYC for training with the Rochester cohort (6 week employment gig)
went to see Ellsworth Kelly’s Austin at the Blanton Museum with family
hung out with some pretty terrific neighbors
and got a hair cut.
Then there was this little house project.
Knitting, you might be wondering? This Missoni, I call it Me-ssoni is beginning to take shape!

Thank you for your kind words. The written word is not coming to me as quickly as it used to. Right now, need to rebuild my confidence in life as a single, in general. But, good news is I’m working on it!

Love the hair! Love all this actually. Aren’t great neighbors well…great?! You do indeed keep a full plate, which is just as you like it, I expect – thanks for giving us a peek. The yarn will be there when you feel the pull – perhaps when you get socked in some winter day. In the meantime I love that first shot of the Me-ssoni – I gasped, haha, when I saw it – can’t wait to see finished one! (but no pressure, haha)

oh, Beth . . . don’t know how you pump out those FOs of yours and keep up with the threads on Ravelry. Then there is family, etc. Your plate is every bit as full as mine. Hair is being enjoyed but cannot get it as nice as the hairdresser can. Hair is a skill I never achieved. hahaha Me-ssoni back and front DONE! Heading in towards my favorite part, now so she shall be done sooner rather than later. Thank you for your vote of confidence and I’m working hard at finding my groove, once again.

A haircut is highly symbolic, you are moving to another stage of your life. So glad to see you back and busy and enjoying life as much as you can. And I recognize most of these hand knits ;-)

haha My daughter had a boyfriend who grew and/or cut his hair according to how he was feeling about life. I think you are absolutely right about that. Ha, yes a sharing of the old hand knits because I don’t have any NEW hand knits to currently share! Boo . . . I hope you are well, Agnes.

I think distracted is a normal stage of adjusting to a whole new segment of life. As you say, the yarn will wait.
I am well, and loving the summer which has finally arrived! Hard to find time to do everything I want to do, though.
